Important Notes on
Classes
If unable to attend any class it is
mandatory to inform the K9 Academy in advance, in order to credit the
class at the end of course. Failure to so will result in no credit.
Additionally there is a
time restriction on when the course is to be completed.
- Puppy courses need
to be completed within 10 weeks.
- Adult courses need
to be completed within 12 weeks.
Puppy Class (£60 for the six week course):
During the 6 week course, we aim to give you lots of
information and tips to start your puppy on the right tracks. Teaching
good manners from the very start will help your puppy to become a well
behaved and sociable dog., and prevents potential problems arising. Lots
of training games are included to keep your puppy happy and occupied, as
well as beginning basic training. The emphasis is on controlled
socialisation, where puppies can mix safely and happily with other dogs.
Adolescents (£60 for the six week course):
Adolescence is the change from puppy to adulthood,
and doesn't begin or end abruptly. At this stage of their development,
often referred to as the "teenage years", many owners struggle to keep
control of their dogs that are choosing to ignore them and do their own
thing. These classes offer a controlled and constructive outlet for
adolescents and encourage good behaviour around people and other dogs. A
natural follow-on from puppy classes!
